Interface Preferences allow you to personalize the way the Snap Mail interface works.
• Sort user list by last name
Snap Mail will sort the user list by either first or last names. It is initially set to sort by last name. If you would like to sort the list by first name, uncheck this preference.
• Request confirmation when deleting mail
If this preference is checked, Snap Mail will request confirmation whenever you try to delete a piece of mail. This is the default setting. You can avoid this confirmation request by holding down the option key when clicking on the “Delete” button. You may uncheck this option if you never want a confirmation request when deleting mail.
• Display latest mail at bottom of InBox
This preference is unchecked by default and indicates that the most recently received mail will appear at the top of your InBox. You may check this option if you would rather have your mail displayed at the bottom of your InBox.
• Copy original mail's text to OutBox
When this preference is checked, clicking on the “Reply” button copies the text you are replying to into your outgoing mail. You can hold down the option key when clicking on Reply if you would like to use this feature for any particular reply. If you would like the text to be copied to the OutBox whenever you use the “Reply” button, check this preference.
• Clear OutBox after send
If you check this preference, after every send or post your OutBox will be cleared and the previously sent icon will be re-selected. You may find this preference useful if you send lots of mail and you don’t want to bother with erasing the OutBox. If you find that you often send mail and then want to send it again to someone else, you may find it useful to uncheck this preference and clear the OutBox manually with the “Clear” button.
• Put return receipts into InBox
The default for this preference is to be unchecked, indicating that return receipts will not be stored in your InBox and will only give you an alert box message. If you would like a permanent record of the fact that your mail was read as well as a copy of the text, you should check this option.
